Ferries depart twice a day from Pembroke to Rosslare in Ireland. Travelling by ferry is a convenient and hassle-free way get to Ireland from England by car.

The crossing takes approximately 3 hours, 45 minutes. Rosslare is a popular travel destination as the town boasts County Wexford's original holiday resort.

Their fleet consists of four modern vessels including the Ulysses, which is the world's largest vehicle ferry. For nine times in succession Irish Ferries have been voted the best ferry operator in Ireland. The company employs a crew and staff over 1, 100.

The Isle of Inishmore operates the Pembroke-Rosslare route. Named in honour of the famous Irish island, this ship provides excellent onboard facilities including first class cuisine, a bar, a tea bar, a casino, a shop offering gifts and souvenirs, a children's play area and, for the older kids, a 'cyber zone'. The duration of the journey on board the Isle of Inishmore lasts about 3 hours, 45 minutes.

The vessel can reach a maximum speed of 21.5 knots and has a passenger and vehicle capacity of 2, 200 and 856 respectively. The ferry was built in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, by the renowned ship builders company: Van der Giessen-de Noord, and launched in 1996. In addition, all on board equipment required by the Department of the Marine and Lloyd's Register, to fulfil the requirement of SOLAS 1974 and all subsequent amendments.
